Whole Baked Branzino
Delicious Baked Branzino infused with lemon and thyme.
A nutritious fish packed with omega-3 fatty acids, lean protein, and essential vitamins for a healthy meal
Ingredients:
1 fresh branzino
1 lemon
1 tsp. thyme
2-3 Tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Steps:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the Fish: Rinse the branzino under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice the Lemon: Cut half of the lemon into wedges and the other half into circular slices.
Season the Fish:
Lay the branzino on the prepared baking sheet.
Coat the fish with olive oil on both sides and inside.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and thyme both on the exterior and interior of the fish.
Stuff the Fish: Place the circular lemon slices inside the cavity of the fish. Arrange the lemon wedges underneath the fish to prop it up, with the back slanted down and the belly facing upwards.
Bake the Fish: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Let fish sit for a few minutes, then debone and serve immediately after.

Baked branzino pairs wonderfully with crispy, roasted potatoes and a leafy green vegetable, such as garlicky spinach, for a delightful and well-rounded meal.
